I've been very busy this last week, so sorry for the lack of updates. I (technically) got paid for my art for the second time. The place where I work needed some art work for a coupon that was going into a gift basket, so I drew a semi-realistic yorkie with a nurse cap. I used an image on google for the yorkie, so I need to find it before I post the pic.

Today I'm doing some coloring, then cleaning. Then hopefully scanning that drawing I mentioned.

I can't wait to get my tablet back. I've been a busy-body with all the drawing/sketching I've been doing lately, and I'd really like to get some open canvas experience under my belt.

Unlike my last entry,, I really have no updates without my laptop. Just wanted to say hey to everyone who might care. oO;

So, I finally realize just how hard it is to take critisism when it comes to my art. I just recently got a comment, pointing out that I don't know correct anatomy. So of course when I heard this, I became defensive, as if this person were talking about my child. His words stuck with me so much, that that very night I took out my gigantic anatomy book that my good friend Brooke (<3) gave me, and started to work on the most basic skeletal model in the book. The next day I worked on that same sketch more, taking 2nd, 3rd, and 4th looks at the drawing, and erasing and redrawing, making it look more and more "correct" each time. This sketch still isnt done, but I will post (hopefully a color version) it within a week or two...my tablet laptop is in the shop right now getting the powerjack fixed, and hopefully getting a spare tablet stylus.

Last night I started my second 2nd and 3rd skeleton studies. I can't wait to finish them and get better. Just by looking at the skeleton as I've been drawing, I've had a few ah-ha moments where I was like, "Oh! So THAT'S how that fits, so I would draw this here like that..."

Haha.

So...thanks alot to the person whom at first I thought was rude. I probably would have put off drawing this type of stuff for another year or so...so, thank so for pushing me faster towards my goal of drawing realism.

holy crap...it's almost at 5.5k page views! How exciting...and...wow, I don't have anything planned for it yet! I think I'm gonna draw it today, since I have a feeling it will it 5.5 either this week or next week.

My external hard drive crashed about a month ago, and I didnt do a backup..of course...so all the work I was doing on my web comic is dead now.

I'm gonna have to start from scratch...I remember alot of the premise, atleast.

I've got english tonight...3 hour class...goooooood, why did I decide to take night classes?! I'm not doing that next semester. I'm going to school during the day, and finding a job that will take me at night. I just gotta try harder...ugh.

I'm done rambling for now.

So...hi there, long time no see!

I'm picking up a drawing class, so you might be seeing some of my class related stuff pretty soon. It's all been things that bore my easily, so I'm trying really hard to train myself to draw things that I don't want to draw. To help me out with that, I think I'm going to start drawing random people on Gaia whos avi I really like. That's one step in the right direction, yea?

I'm also taking a writing class, which may or may not help me write better.

And Jewelry...well, I get to work with a blowtorch and saw, so Jewelry is pretty much rocking my world right now.

Aiie! I just remembered the first anime club at school is meeting tomorrow evening. I haven't watched any new anime is quite awhile. I JUST finished Haruhi, and found it quite interesting. I stoarted Elfen Lied, but soon found out it was in japanese, without subs. Bummer, I want to watch it still.

As far as manga goes, I've been reading a little here and there. I found a manga version of one of my favorite authors (James Patterson) books, "Maximum Ride"and "Daniel X" (which isn't a manga, it's an american style comic), "Marvel Zombies"...which I haven't read much of, but I'm in love with this one, concidering how much of a zombie whore I am...and The Dark Crystal: The Garthim Wars. Haven't started it yet, but it's on my to read list.

So yea...that was a pretty lengthy update. Hope everyone else out there is having a good new year.
